Job Summary:

Responsible for the monthly financial close process for the District including analyzing journal entries, reviewing financial statements, and variance analysis. Coordinate with Corporate Accounting team on accounting issues and reporting requirements. Oversee the transactional accounting processes within the District including billing, receivables, accounts payable, collections, and payroll. Establish best practices for field level accounting functions. Manage administrative accounting team members within the district including training and development. Provide financial analysis support for the District including profitability analysis, forecasting, and modeling. Provide analytical support in order for the District Vice President and Branch Managers to make sound business decisions. Work with Branch Managers in the District to develop action plans for improving poor performing areas and provide support and follow-up to achieve those plans. Prepare analysis on capital spending projects including ROI calculations, and monitor ongoing project costs. Monitor planning process related to monthly projections, quarterly forecasts, and the annual budget.

Provide financial oversight, forecasting projections, month end close reports, and capital planning reports. Train branch managers and teams on financial skills to ensure they are well-equipped to achieve financial targets. Provide oversight of corporate support positions such as billings, accounts payable, collections, and payroll. Design dynamic financial tools to empower branch managers to forecast more effectively and accurately with focus placed on projecting variable revenue, direct wages, and G&A expenses within their branches. Train team members on financial planning. Review operational KPIs. Design dashboard reports used across departments to monitor and analyze a variety of data, including recruiting, overtime, route hours, DWF%, and revenue capture.


Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field plus 7 years of experience in financial analysis and transactional accounting or in any occupation in which the required experience was gained. The experience must include 2 years in the public sector with experience in technical accounting principles and 5 years in the private sector with experience in analysis experience. 5 years of management experience is required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Up to 50% domestic travel required.
